Preperation information/ Textbook

Welcome to your introduction week. You have already received your time table.

To learn and to refresh your knowledge in Business Administration and Business English we start this MBA course with the subject Fundaments of Accounting.

Within this subject you have to read all basics in Accounting and apply your knowledge directly to a virtual company. You have to manage this virtual company in a Business Management Simulation.
To prepare yourself you have to do some efforts in advance.

It is obligatory to read the first pre reading which contains all relevant information for your Business Management Simulation. (The second pre reading is voluntarily but provides you a lot of insight into the area of Business Administration). The more time you spend for your preparation the more fun you will have during the course (the last students ask me to inform you that this preparation will last a few hours and this should be highlighted in the beginning)

To deepen your knowledge in terms of the current state of your (virtual) company - you are supposed to manage in this course - I provided some further tests (see chapter self study)

Furthermore you have to read some Chapters of your textbook.
The textbook of this course is:
Collier (2015): Accounting for Managers, 5th Ed. (ISBN: 978-1-119-00294-9)


I ask you to read the following chapters to prepare yourself for each day. There are some parts which are obligatory and some parts optional to gain more knowledge.
 

 
In between the days you have to reanalyse of prepare yourself for the next day. Please consider this for your personal time planning.
