real company competing in a certain industry, where you have been appointed Chief Sustainability Officer.
In your new role you aspire to build a Business Case für Sustainability
1. Describe the company selected and its purpose – max. 1 page
2. Provide a short overview on existing regulations for the respective industry (cf. lecture Sustainability Regulations) – max. 1 page
The proposed measures shall encompass economic, ecological and social aspects (triple bottom line).
Please offer reasoning for the proposed measure and the expected benefit (e.g. cost reductions, CO2-reduction, employee satisfaction) – max. 2 pages
Identify one meaningful ecological performance indicator and try to quantify its improvement.
What investment is necessary? Is it possible to estimate a Return on Investment (RoI) or payback period?
Please do research – to the degree possible - sources, to validate your findings/assumptions – max. 2 pages
Think about regulatory aspects (refer to the lecture on Sustainability Regulations) as well as the important role of the employees – max. 1 page
